Oh hello there. I’m Lucy and I’m really shy and a bit scared because you’re new. I’m five years old, weigh 73 pounds and am a retired breeding dog. I’m just learning how to be a dog that’s a family pet so everything and everyone is new to me.

I love being petted! Once I know you and trust you, it’s my favorite thing and I’ll follow you around and hope for some pets.

I also love other dogs! My overall vibe is slow and easy but I’ve been known to play ball and chase after my fuzzy foster brothers. I’m becoming more confident learning how to “dog” from them so I really need for there to be another stable dog in my furever home.

I haven’t been around cats or small children so I’m not sure about them.

I will go in a crate if you really want me to, but I’m just not a fan. The good news is you can trust me to not get into any mischief if you have to leave home and leave me loose in the house.

Car rides still make me nervous and I need help in and out of the car because of that. The more I go in the car though, the more relaxed I’m becoming so hopefully one day I’ll be up for more road trips without issues.

Thunder makes me nervous too and I shake with fear but I don’t do anything more than that. I feel better with my Foster family nearby.

I’ve come a LONG way since I first got to TGRR and I still have a ways to go but I’m ready to take that next step with you!
