Hi there! I’m Moose. If you look up the definition of a Golden Retriever, my picture would come up to define it. I’m an easy-going lovebug that loves to be around my people. I’m 7-years-old and am working on losing some weight because I weigh 91 pounds!

I love everyone and everybody. Kids are great! Other dogs are great! I haven’t been around cats though, so I don’t know about them.

Squeaky toys are my favorite and I’m playful off and on throughout the day. I LOVE walkies and get super excited when the leash comes out. I pull at the beginning of the walk because I’m just so happy to be walking, but I do settle down after a bit. Foster Mom says that a harness helps me walk better.

I don’t need to be crated when you leave me alone in the house. You can trust me not to get into any mischief. At night I can be found sleeping on a dog bed beside my foster parent’s bed. I’d actually love to be sleeping on the bed with them. 😁

I love car rides but need assistance getting in and out of the car. This may improve as the weight comes off.

One thing you should know about me is that I’m on meds for seizures (haven’t had another one since I started taking the meds) and for thyroid issues. In addition to paying for my meds, you should expect me to have to go to the vet more often for monitoring my health.

So, if you’re looking for a traditional Golden Retriever, I hope you’re the one for me!
