Hey there! I’m Mason! I’m seven years old and weigh 94 pounds – I’m not overweight, just a big, strong boy!

TGRR’s eye doc says I have early signs of Pigmentary Uveitis which occasionally happens to Golden Retrievers. Not to worry, as long as you’re willing to give me eye drops a couple of times a day and take me to the eye doc for re-checks every once in awhile, all is good. Bonus:  I’m a good boy when you give me my eye drops!

I get excited meeting new people and seeing new things but give me a minute and I’ll chill.

I love playing with squeaky toys and I especially like playing with balls. When I head from one place to another, I’m going to grab a ball to take with me. I keep track of all the balls around the house – foster Mom says I’m smart that way. I love it when you throw balls for me, but I’ll be honest, I’m not great about bringing them back to you.

I like other dogs but I play hard and I’m big, so it’s best if your dog is up for that, ya know? I would also be fine soaking up all the attention and being your only dog.

I’m great on leash – I’ll walk beside you with a loose leash but occasionally I break into playing around and trying to bite my leash. Foster Mom thinks someone will need to work on that with me.

I’m great in the crate and will even go in there on my own. I’m good about letting people know when I need to go out so you never have to worry about that.

I’ve never been around cats so I don’t know about them but I’ve lived with kids and I think they’re great (see above on being big and strong though – I won’t mean to knock one down but don’t rule it out).

In between bouts of excitement, I’m really quite calm and very much like a traditional Golden – smart, sweet and wanting to please. I sure hope I’m the Golden Boy for you!
