Why hello! Do you want to pet me? That’s my favorite thing! I’m love bug Kacey, I’m 6-years-old and I weigh 83 pounds. (I’m on a weight-loss plan with diet & exercise ’cause I need to lose about 13 more pounds!)

I have a traditional Golden personality – I get along with everything and everybody and I want to please. I just want to be near my humans and love any attention I get.

I get along well with other dogs and would thrive in a family with another dog. I would also shine as the only dog in the house as long as you’re around lots. I’ve not been around cats so I don’t know what I think about them. I love kids though!!!

My overall setting is “chill,” but I do have bursts of energy and can entertain myself by throwing up a toy and going after it.

I’m fine in a crate but I don’t really need one. You can trust me to not get into any trouble if you have to leave me alone in the house for a little while. I’m not much of a car rider yet because I need help getting in and out of the car – that should get better as I lose more weight. I also tend to get car sick on long rides.

My leash manners are good. Because of my excess weight, I’m prone to stopping for frequent breaks, but the more weight I lose, the more likely I am to hang in there for longer walks. I might even make a good hiking buddy once I’m trim & fit.
