OMG – have you looked at the calendar? Fall is HERE! It’s almost my birthday and I will be 8 years young – I say “young” because I have more energy than most dogs half my age! I’m Josie, and I have one birthday wish:  I want to find my forever home!

After being an outside dog, I have transitioned remarkably well to living indoors with my foster family – even the cat! If you’re active and have a younger energetic dog for me to play with, you may be perfect for me! Once I’ve burned off this “young” energy I have, I’m content just to mellow out and enjoy your company. If you have to leave, that’s okay too, no separation anxiety in this girl! What I don’t love though, is loud vehicles and heavy rainstorms – that’s when I run for cover! I love car rides, walks, and swimming is my FAVORITE thing, indestructible toys are pretty fun too. I am housebroken, know a few commands and I love my crate – it’s my home inside my foster home. I love meeting new people, sometimes too much, so I’m learning not to jump on them – which is why a home without young kids is best for me. I weigh in at 64 lbs., and I got a clean bill of health from the TGRR vet. And while I’m not a purebred Golden, I’m pretty close to one and I’ve been told that my fur glitters gold just like the best of ‘em.
