Throw the ball already! I’m Ellie, a fun-loving, energetic 6-year-old Golden who weighs 85 pounds and is always ready for my next adventure. If you’re looking for a dog who will happily play fetch with you for as long as you’re willing to throw the ball, I’m your girl! I also love a good game of tug and playing with my other toys.

I’m a social girl who enjoys other dogs, especially ones who like to play as much as I do. I can be pretty enthusiastic when meeting new canine friends, so I’d love a young playful male dog in my forever home who appreciates my exuberance and can keep up with me.

I’m also an enthusiastic greeter and sometimes forget that not everyone wants an 85-pound Golden jumping up to say hello! I’m working on that, along with my leash manners. I may pull a bit when we first head out, but once I settle in, I’m a very nice walking companion.

I’m good with cats once the initial excitement of meeting them wears off, and I love kids. Because I’m an energetic girl, though, I’d probably be happiest with older children who can handle my enthusiasm.

I have a talent for finding anything interesting on the kitchen counter, so my family will need to keep tempting goodies out of reach while helping me learn that counters are off-limits. The good news is that I’m perfectly happy being loose in the house when you need to leave.

I’m a pro at jumping in and out of the car all by myself, although I’m still learning to enjoy the ride. I’m a little anxious in the car right now, but I’m sure with more experience—and some fun destinations—I’ll discover that car rides can be pretty great.
