Hi there. I'm Winnie and I'm 1 1/2 years old and I weigh 48 pounds, so I'm a smallish Golden. My Foster Mom says I have two speeds - Turbo and Full Stop. I can do Zoomies with the best of 'em and I play my little heart out with my furry foster siblings, but after that burst of fun, I'm all in for a good snuggle and a nap! I love being with other dogs and really hope my forever family has one (or more. I previously lived in a not-so-great situation and when I came to TGRR, I was timid and scared. Being around the other dogs has really helped me learn to "dog" in a family-pet way and has helped build up my confidence. I'm still a bit fearful meeting new people and in new situations and haven't quite gotten over my fear of men. If you have a man in your family, I think I'll eventually come around but everyone is going to need to have patience with me as I get over my fears. and learn to trust. I walk on a leash like a champ! I was fearful of that too but have come to really enjoy my walkies. I walk with a loose leash and stay right beside my Foster Mom! As for the crate, well, let's just say I've accepted it as a place I sometimes need to go but I'm not a fan. I'm still working on being completely housebroken though, so you're going to want to use a crate to help finish my potty training. I've gotten so I can go all day without having accidents in the house but I have a bad habit of peeing in my crate overnight. So I need a family that will stick to a set routine and even take me out in the middle of the night until I get the routine down and can last thru a whole night without an accident. I also need some consistent obedience training but I'm very food motivated and a quick learner, so that should be fairly easy to do. I love kids! They are so sweet and I love to be loved on by the little ones. I will play with them too, but I'm really a fan of a good snuggle and some pets from the kiddos. I ride like a champ in the car, hopping right in and out without assistance. So if you're looking for a mainly chill little girl, I'm your gal!
