Tucker – Adopted!
Dog ID: 211054 Sex: Male Age: 5 Year old
“Smile 😁 and the world smiles with you…” so the old proverb goes. Like most Goldens, I am an expert “smiler” with a unique smile that is all my own – and a history of mystery to go along with it. You see, my last family found me wandering all alone – I was a stray! They nursed me back to health, and they SO wanted to keep me, but their dog that was there before me was really mean to me. Fortunately, they called TGRR and now I’m on the path to finding my furever home!
As far as Goldens go, I’m a “classic.” The TGRR vet thinks I’m about 5 years old. She said I weigh 50lbs., and she gave me a clean bill of health! My foster parents say I’m eager to please, great with older children, cats too, and I just LOVE people – though, stuffed toys are a close second – lol, and volleyballs are awesome too! They say I’m smart, good on a leash and ride quietly in the car. Heck, I even know a few commands, like Sit, Shake and No – not too shabby for a “stray,” right? I occasionally nap in my crate, but I prefer to sleep in my foster’s room cause being near my humans is important to me.
When I’m bored or unsettled, I get a little anxious, so I think I need a canine sibling to play with and it would be great to be with an active family or individual. I’ve got a strange infatuation with lights, reflections and shadows that TGRR is trying to figure out. We’re all a work in progress, right?
Back to my smile 😁…I may not have the classic Golden squared jawline or be able to tell you WHY I have a side-smile, but I can assure you, it still works perfectly for eating, drinking, and giving big sloppy kisses 💋. So…as long as you have extra napkins – we’re Golden!
Love and smiles, Tucker 💜
