Red Rover, Red Rover, send ME right over! Traditional Golden Retriever here, and pleased to meet you! I’m 7-years-old and on the hefty side at 90 pounds (diet & exercise are the latest trends for me). I’m still pretty spry – despite my size – but overall, my Foster Family calls me “chill.”

I get along fine with other dogs but don’t have a whole lot to do with them. I’ve been known to have a good wrestling match now and again, but I’m fine just standing by and watching them. I’m living with three other male dogs right now and I must confess, I’ve had to mark my territory so they know who’s boss. Foster Mom & Dad hope this habit goes away next week once I’m neutered, settled in with a routine and not surrounded by testosterone.

I’m pretty good on the leash and am working on my stamina with all this extra weight I’m lugging around. I hope my forever family likes to go on walks to keep up my slim-down routine.

I’ve not been around cats, so I don’t know about them, but I love the teenagers in my Foster Family. I’m a little wary of men, loud noises and sudden movements so I think I’m better off not being around younger kids.

I ride great in the car, I even jump in and out on my own. My foster family hasn’t crated me when they leave, but I can be trusted to be left alone while they’re gone – with the exception of tempting, tasty slippers or socks left around, but who can blame me?

What I like best is attention, pets and TREATS! I’m very food motivated and am learning to take treats gently, but watch your fingers for now – they’re very reminiscent of sausages to me.

So, how’s about a game of Red Rover at your house? Are you the one for me?
