Check me out! I’m Megan and even though I’m 11 years old, my foster parents say I have the energy of a three-year-old! I run and play with the best of them! I’m on the smallish side for a Golden Mix, just 50 pounds.

I had heartworms when I got to TGRR so I’ve been with a foster family for a while I’ve been treated to get rid of those horrible, dangerous things. During that time, I got along with most dogs, but sometimes I’m finicky about which canines I want to be friends with, so TGRR thinks it’s best if I’m the only dog in your home. That’s fine with me ’cause it means I’ll get ALL of your attention!

I love the kids in the neighborhood when we go for walks and I ignore dogs when we’re on walks. Cats – they’re for terrorizing aren’t they?

I’m good walking on leash. Sometimes I pull a little bit when I see something that excites me, but I am easily corrected.

I know how to sit on command for a treat (love me some treats) and will come when called. Foster Mom says I’m a fast learner, I’m smart, and that I’m eager to please. I’m always up for playing or going for a walk, but my very favorite thing to do cuddle.

When you leave me alone, I can get a little anxious and may go looking for something fun to chew—socks and gloves seem to be particular favorites! So, a little puppy-proofing is definitely a good idea. The good news is that I like my crate. I happily go in there on my own during the day for a cozy nap, even when the door is wide open. At bedtime, I love sleeping on the floor in my foster parents’ bedroom—with the bedroom door closed, of course, so I don’t get myself into any nighttime mischief! I’m quiet as a mouse all night long, which means everyone can wake up rested and ready for a new day of fun. ❤️
