Check me out! I’m Megan and even though I’m 10 years old, Foster Dad says I have the energy of a three year old. I run and play with the best of them! I’m on the smallish side for a golden mix, just 50 pounds.

I was Heartworm Positive when I got to TGRR so I’ve been with my foster family for many weeks while I’ve been treated. During that time, I’ve gotten along great with my furry foster siblings and I’m hoping my forever family has a dog I can be with.

I’ve not been around cats or kids so I don’t know about them.

I’ve got a couple of naughty traits, I must admit. If you leave me unsupervised, I get a little anxious and will look for things to chew up (socks, gloves, etc.), so it’s best to puppy proof the house if you need to leave me. I’m not wild about the crate but will go in one if you really need me to.  My other naughty trait is that I’ve learned how to climb up the chain link fence and escape at my foster home. So I need to go to a house that has a six foot privacy fence.

When I first walk on the leash, I do pull a bit but I’m easily corrected and will walk beside you for the most part.

I know how to sit on command for a treat (love me some treats) and will come when called. My favorite thing is a good cuddle.

So don’t let my age deter you, I’ve got lots of life left in me and I’m hoping I can spend it with you!
