Hi there new bestie! I’m Maggie! I’m ready for whatever you have planned. Want to go for a walk? I’m in! Want to play fetch? Let’s do it! Want to just chill? OK! I’m really a go-with-the-flow girl.

I’m 4-years-old and I was soooo skinny when I first came to TGRR (only 33 pounds!) that I’ve been getting extra food and treats to fatten me up. Lucky for me, because I love to eat! I now weigh about 50 pounds! I’m eager to learn new commands and tricks, and I’m smart enough to know that if I do them, I get treats!

I get along great with other dogs so if you’ve got one or more, I’ll fit right in. But if you want me as your only dog, I can be that too. I haven’t been around cats so I don’t know about them. I also haven’t been around kids but with my sweet nature and readiness for adventure, I think I’d be fine in a family with kids.

I walk well on leash most of the time, but I do pull when I need to go potty or if I see something interesting that needs sniffing. I’m learning to Heel from my Foster Mom and I have also mastered quite a few commands. I know Sit, Come, Gentle, and Give It. I’m working on learning Wait right now and am doing a pretty good job learning that one too!

I ride good in the car but I need a little help getting in. I’m fine being crated and go in without any fuss if you want to crate me.

Some of my favorite things are going for walkies, playing fetch, playing tug and chewing on bones (I love my Nylabone!). My most favorite thing though, is just being loved on and you petting me. Foster Mom says I’m the most loving animal she’s ever met!
