Hi there. Um, I’m Lacey. I’m a year old, and I weigh 56 pounds. I’m a fearful girl so I need time to get to know you. I came from a hoarding situation and lived most of my life in a dark barn, so I lack the confidence most dogs have and I tend to be anxious.
I love being inside and cuddling with my foster parents – I’m a really good cuddler! I also enjoy sitting by the window and watching what’s going on outside.
When someone comes to the door, I’m calm and sweet, but a little slow to warm up to a new person. I’m afraid when we leave the house. Foster Mom says that when we go on a walk, I just want to go back home, so we’re working on getting me used to neighborhood walks. I’ve gotten good at going to places like Tractor Supply and Lowes.
I know Sit, Stay, Paw, Wait and I’m working on Lie Down.
I’m not a fan of a crate, but the good news is that you can trust me not do anything bad while you’re gone.
I get along with other dogs. In fact, I need for my forever home to have a confident dog I can learn from, a dog that will help me learn how to be a dog that trusts humans. I get along fine with cats. I’m OK with kids, but I would prefer a calm, quiet house.
Foster Mom says I’m a sweet girl and just need someone with patience and love to bring me out of my shell. Is that you?
