Hey there! I’m Jax! Are you ready to play? I am! I’m an energetic, bouncy boy. I’ve been staying at a boarding facility while TGRR gets to know me. I’m about a year old and weigh 51 pounds.

Here’s the big thing you need to know about me – I’m unpredictable when it comes to other dogs. Most times, I’m perfectly fine but sometimes I get overwhelmed and react by lunging after the other dog.  I need a home where I can be the only dog and I need an adopter who doesn’t expect me to go on outings where they’ll be other dogs.

I love the pool! Water makes me soooo happy – I frolic about and I’ll even fetch toys you throw in the water.

I was a stray before TGRR rescued me so my former life is a mystery. I’ve not been around cats so I don’t know about them. I’m good meeting kids but get pretty excited so I’m too much of a hazard for young kids.

What I love most is people! I’m sweet and social and a curious boy. I love to go for walkies but I need to work on my leash manners. Everyone is amazed at how strong I am so I need someone with patience and persistence to help me learn to walk well on a leash. Got a treat?
