Oh, Hello! I’m Jackson, your new bestie. I’m 7 years old and working on losing some weight – I’m down to 76 pounds. I’m all about just hanging out and being your companion. I’m a low maintenance kind of guy. I like to be where you are but if you need to leave, that’s cool – I’ll just settle in for a nap.

I’m also easy-going when it comes to adventures. Take me out and toss the ball a few times and we’re good to go.  I’m laid back on the leash too – I will walk gently by your side and not pull.

All bets are off when we meet other dogs though. I might walk by without issues, or I might go full commando on them – barking and lunging. I’ve even been known to growl at people that approach us. I’m afraid I can’t really be trusted to be a “walk around the neighborhood” kind of dog. In fact, the folks at TGRR, think I’d be happiest and it’d be safest if I was an “only” dog. Ideally, I’d live in a rural location where long walks aren’t likely to bring about any encounters with others. And I’m probably best in a home with teen-aged kids or no kids at all.

I know how to sit on command and will come when called. I can be trusted not to chew up anything and even gently nibble on my stuffy toys and don’t destroy them like some other dogs do. I’m good at getting in and out of the car and I enjoy riding. I’ve never been around cats so I don’t know about them.
