“Hello, nice to meet you. My name is Gunner, I’m 5 years old and a big boy at 85 lbs. I don’t know if any part of me is Golden Retriever, but TGRR took me in anyway because I’m sweet and very handsome! I’ve probably got some Great Pyrenees and Lab in me, but your guess is as good as mine! You see, I was found as a stray, and as my foster mom puts it, “I’m a big teddy bear who unfortunately was forced to learn the survival skills of a stray.” I’m already making leaps and bounds as a house dog! I know a few commands and I’m learning new ones, that’s exciting. I LOVE car rides, and I do fairly well on a leash. Speaking of, I have quite a bit of energy, which would make me a great running companion. Are you a runner? If you are, I’m your guy! Well, unless I pick up the scent of something that smells wonderful, then we’ll have to stop to smell the roses (pun intended). I love hanging out in the backyard, but I hope you have a tall fence, because there’s a good chance I may be an escape artist. It would be less stressful for you if I were an only dog, as I can get a little protective of my toys, although I DO get along with dogs. Cats? I ignore them. Big kids? I LOVE them! Humans? I LOOOOOVEEE them, especially when they pet me 🙂  I think I’m a great catch, and I’d love to hang out with you.”
