Hi there! Are you looking for a dog shadow? A great big dog shadow? I’m Dakota and I’m the man for the job! Velcro dog? That’s me! I’m six years old and weigh over 100 pounds, so you need to make sure there’s plenty of room for me. I’m working on losing weight but even when I get to my ideal weight of 85 pounds, I’ll still be a big boy.

I tend to jump on people when I meet them. I’m working on not doing that, but I just get so excited to meet a new friend, ya know? I also pull hard on the leash so again, with my size, it’s important you realize you’re taking on a whole lot of dog!

I’m all about being close to you and getting petted. I’ll give you a nudge to let you know that I’m there and remind you to keep petting me.

I love to play fetch! I carry around a squeaky ball and will bring it to you all day if you let me. I love playing fetch with my foster teenage brother. I’m good with kids in general but my bull in a china shop presence makes it so I might knock over younger kids. I’ve not been around cats, so I don’t know how I feel about them.

I’m OK to be crated but I don’t need to be. You can trust me to behave if you have to leave me alone – that is, unless you leave something tasty within reach on the counter, then all bets are off.

I ride great in the car and jump in and out, not problem. I’m not afraid of the vacuum or thunderstorms, either.

When all is said and done, I just want to be near my peeps. Here’s hoping that your my peep!
