Hi, I’m Daisy and I’m a bit on the shy side when I’m first in new situations and meeting new people. But once I come around, I’m all in! Once I feel comfortable (which happens fairly quickly), I’m a typical, energetic young Golden! I’m about a year old and I weigh 56 pounds.
The things I love most are playing fetch with the chuck-it ball and playing with my fuzzy foster siblings. We play a mean game of “Bitey Face” and we tussle about all day! I really would do best in a forever home with another confident, playful dog.
I also get along pretty well with cats! If they run, yeah, I’m going to chase them but I do well with cats that are used to having dogs around. I haven’t been around kids so I don’t know about them but I’m not great with unexpected noises, so that might be an issue.
I’m learning leash manners and basic commands like Sit (I do this well) and Stay (I do this not so well yet). I’m very smart and also treat motivated me so I should be easy to train. When I’m scared, you need to be careful because I’ll try and back out of my collar and scurry away so having two leads (one being a slip lead) is best.
I’m crate trained and go in with a treat, though sometimes I need some assistance making my way in. Once in, I settle nicely and won’t bother you overnight while you sleep. It’s best not to leave soft things like blankets in my crate with me because I’ve been known to chew them up.
I’m good to chill around the house for my Foster Mom while she works and I love a good snuggle too, so it’s not really like I’m go-go-go all the time. But hopefully, you and your dog(s) are ready for some fun play, like me!
