Oh, yes, hello. I’m shy Boomer and I’m working on coming out of my shell still so please no sudden movements or loud noises. I’m scared!
I’m 4-years-old and weigh 80 pounds. I was a breeding dog and I’ve spent some time around dogs but not so much around people. I’ve never lived indoors before and everything is new to me – cars, doorways, TV’s, etc. I have a safe space that I found in my foster’s home and you can find me hanging out there pretty much all day.
I’m pretty good with other dogs, following their lead. TGRR thinks a dog like me needs to go to a home with at least one other “mentor” dog that can help me learn how to be a family pet and build my confidence. I don’t like to share my toys – I’ve never had toys before – so as long as your dog understands that, we’ll become the best of buddies!
I’m very interested in humans. I like to be petted by them and I’ll never turn down a treat. I’m going to be scared of you when I first meet you, so please plan to be patient with me so I can get to know and trust you first. Hopefully, you’re up for a long game of fetch because I LOVE balls and playing fetch!
I haven’t been around young kids so I don’t know about them. If they’re loud and chaotic, I’m not sure that’s a good fit for me. I haven’t been around cats, so I’m not sure how I’d be around them either.
I have a lot of potential, I just need the right loving and patient family to bring me around. Is that you?
