Boomer – Adoption Pending
Dog ID: 2601005 Sex: Male Age: 4 Years old
Oh, yes, hello. I’m shy Boomer and I’m working on coming out of my shell still so please no sudden movements or loud noises. I’m scared!
I’m 4-years-old and weigh 80 pounds. I was a breeding dog and I’ve spent my life around dogs but not so much around people. I’ve never lived indoors before and everything is new to me – cars, doorways, TV’s, etc. I have a safe space that I found in my foster’s house and you can find me hanging out there pretty much all day.
I’m great with other dogs and tend to be submissive, following their lead. TGRR thinks a dog like me really needs to go to a home with at least one other “mentor” dog that can help me learn how to be a family pet and build my confidence.
I’m very interested in humans. I like to be petted by them and I’ll never turn down a treat. I’m going to be scared of you when I first meet you, so please plan to be patient with me so I can get to know and trust you first. Hopefully, you’re up for a long game of fetch because I LOVE balls and playing fetch!
I haven’t been around young kids so I don’t know about them. If they’re loud and chaotic, I’m not sure that’s a good fit for me. I haven’t been around cats, so I’m not sure how I’d be around them either.
I have a lot of potential, I just need the right loving and patient family to bring me around. Is that you?
