Hi! My name is Boomer and I never met a stranger – I love people! I’m seven years old and am working on losing some weight – I’m down to 96 pounds, with a ways to go. I need a walking buddy to help me lose the rest! Lucky for you, I’m good on the leash so we’re all set for long walks (although I admit a squirrel might distract me a tad).  I know how to sit, stay and come (most of the time anyway).

Generally speaking, I’m a chill dog and really like to just hang out with people, the closer the better. Kids are great! They’re little people, ya know? And who doesn’t like people?

I like other dogs too! In fact, there needs to be another dog in my forever home, cause I get a bit anxious if I don’t have a canine bud to hang with. I’m down for some play time with my canine bud, but since I’m working on losing the weight, I tend to be on the lazy side.  I’ve never been around cats so I don’t know about them.

I’m not real wild about being in a crate – I’d much rather stick around my peeps when I sleep at night and I can be trusted alone in the house if you have to leave me. In fact, I’ve been known to hurt myself in the past trying to get out of a crate.

I’m good in the car and am able to heft my big booty in and out, no problems. I’m always up for a road trip!

Snuggling is my favorite thing – Foster Dad says I’m a snuggle bug. So if you’re looking for a new BFF that loves to snuggle, I sure hope I get to meet you!
